Terms of Service

These Terms govern your access to and use of Biuld, including its web, desktop, messaging and collaboration features.

1. Agreement to these Terms

By accessing or using Biuld (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Biuld. If the law where you live requires a parent or guardian to consent to your use of an online service, you may use Biuld only with that consent.

2. What Biuld provides

Biuld is a social development environment that brings developer communication and code collaboration closer together. Features may include direct and group messaging, code and file sharing, notifications, and live collaboration.

Biuld is under active development. Features may be added, changed, suspended or removed as the Service evolves, including during beta periods.

3. Your account

You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your credentials, and activity performed through your account. Do not share credentials in a way that allows another person to impersonate you or access parts of the Service they are not authorized to use.

Contact us if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the messages, code, files and other content you submit to Biuld. These Terms do not transfer ownership of your content to Biuld.

You give Biuld a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, display and otherwise process your content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure and provide the Service. For example, Biuld must be able to transmit a message to members of a chat or synchronize content during a collaboration session.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit content to Biuld and to share it with the people you choose.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use Biuld to:

  • break applicable law or violate another person's rights;
  • gain or attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems or data;
  • distribute malware or intentionally harmful code through the Service;
  • interfere with, overload, probe or disrupt Biuld's infrastructure or security;
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent your authorization to act for them; or
  • use the Service to harass, threaten or facilitate abuse of another person.

Development and security work can involve code that would be harmful in another context. This section is not intended to prohibit legitimate development, testing or security research performed on systems you own or are authorized to test.

6. Biuld's software and intellectual property

Biuld's software, branding, design and other Service materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws and licenses. Your use of the Service does not give you ownership of Biuld's intellectual property.

Some software used to build or operate Biuld is open source and remains governed by its respective open-source licenses. Those licenses are not replaced by these Terms.

7. Beta, availability and your data

Biuld may make beta, preview or experimental functionality available. Such functionality may be incomplete, change without notice, or experience errors and interruptions.

We work to keep Biuld available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that every feature will always be available. Keep your own copies or backups of important code, files and other information; Biuld should not be your only copy of important data.

8. Suspension and termination

We may restrict, suspend or terminate access to Biuld when reasonably necessary to protect the Service or its users, comply with law, respond to security risks, or address material or repeated violations of these Terms.

You may stop using Biuld at any time. Account deletion requests and the handling of associated personal information are described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Third-party services

Biuld relies on third-party infrastructure and services to operate. Their availability can affect Biuld, and your interaction with a third-party service may also be governed by that provider's own terms and policies. Biuld is not responsible for third-party services that it does not control.

10. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, Biuld is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not make warranties that the Service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for every particular purpose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Biuld will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, business, data or goodwill arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

These limitations do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited or excluded.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Biuld and the rules governing the Service change. The current version will be posted on this page with its latest update date. Where a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we may provide additional notice when reasonably appropriate.

Your continued use of Biuld after updated Terms take effect means you accept the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law gives you rights that cannot be displaced by this provision.
