Biuld V2

The conversation should not stop where the code starts.

Biuld is The Social IDE — a developer workspace where you can talk with other developers, open the code behind the conversation, and work in the same file together.

Where it started

A broken file and too many handoffs.

Biuld started from a simple problem: helping another developer with broken code was more complicated than it needed to be. The conversation was happening in one place, while the actual code was somewhere else.

To inspect the problem properly, the code had to be saved, sent, committed, screen-shared, or moved through another tool first. Every handoff added friction between talking about the problem and actually working on it.

That gap became the idea behind Biuld: what if the conversation could become the workspace?

What changed

Biuld existed before V2.

The first Biuld proved the core idea could work: developers could chat, share files and code, and use an editor without treating every part of collaboration as a separate workflow. V2 is not a new name placed on the old product. It is a return to that idea with a clearer understanding of what Biuld should be.

Chat

Direct messages and groups belong inside the developer workspace, not beside it.

Code

Open, edit and share the actual file without turning the conversation into a chain of handoffs.

Collab

Bring another developer into the same file when talking about the code is no longer enough.

Why V2

A clearer product, built around developers.

Earlier versions of Biuld tried to explain the product through too many different audiences and use cases. V2 is more focused: Biuld is for developers who want conversation and code to live closer together.

Pairing on a bug, helping someone understand a file, editing code before sending it, or jumping into a live collaboration are different moments in the same workflow. Biuld is being built around that workflow instead of forcing developers to stitch it together themselves.
